Siliserh Lake in Alwar, Rajasthan | Tour With Rahul

If you are an avid visitor of our blog, then may you be aware of how passionate we are to explore the unexplored! After many brainstorming gatherings, we came up with Siliserh Lake which is in Alwar, as our next destination. Delhi to Alwar distance is 166.4 km and 170 km from Jaipur and 13 km from Alwar. My friends were keenly interested in joining once they got to know about the destination. So, now sit calm and relaxed to explore Siliserh lake, Alwar with us.

A brief history: Siliserh Lake

In the year 1848 A.D. on the orders of Maharaja Vinay Singh, Siliserh lake in Rajasthan was built, which spread across 7 K.M. This lake resembles the king’s love for his queen, Sheela.

Route:

So in the early morning, at 5 am, we gave throttle to our bike and started our new journey. It took us approx. 2 hours 30 minutes to reach here from Delhi. Riding on my KTM, Duke 250 was a solitary experience, and it gives me a feeling of freedom. We had enjoyed the beautiful Rainy weather much more than an enclosed air-conditioned car, and the machine sounds incredible.

The road is somewhat patchy, but the beautiful side views cover-up and doesn’t let you feel exhausted. Instead, you will be refreshed by the roadside beauty.

The Destination:

High slopes of the Aravalli range surround this beautiful Siliserh Lake Alwar, Rajasthan, and two dams have been constructed here to collect the water of a small stream of River Repair.

Siliserh Lake Palace is situated on the bank of Siliserh lake and has been converted into a heritage hotel by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC). Siliserh Fort Palace was initially an erstwhile royal palace and hunting lodge.

A group:

If you had followed our previous blog posts such as North Goa and South Goa trip, Jaipur trip and other, you might be much aware of our buddies. So again we four of us were on our ways to hit one of the most beautiful lakes in Rajasthan.

Looking for some food:

We started very early, so within a few hours we were hungry and halted at a small place. There we have witnessed the entire unhygienic process of the ‘making of Mirchi vada’, so somehow we dominated our appetite for a while. Finally, when we reached Thanedar, a tiny sweet shop, but were foods prepared hygienically, our hunger has crossed all the boundaries. Without any delay, we ordered Pyaaz ki Kachori and Daal ki Kachori. The chutney served with the kachoris was super awesome.

Reaching the destination:

Our destination, Siliserh lake is one picturesque place with a large number of migratory birds around. The memorizing tranquil waters look fabulous surrounded by Aravali range. That has filled us with energy, and without wasting any time, we start clicking pictures. After a while, when we had enough pictures, we sat down to relax and enjoy our beverages and snacks.

A thing to share:

The entry ticket of INR 50 per person, including a free beverage of your choice.

We opted for french fries and pakodas to satisfy our taste buds.

Have you seen a crocodile so near to you? Opt for the boat ride, and if the stars are in your favor, you can have a meeting with them. Enjoy!!

Wildlife:

After enjoying every bit of the day, we finally got into action and wore our gears back. On the back journey, we found some wild animals in the forest on both sides of the roads. We witnessed deer, monkeys, peacock, nilgai, colorful birds, baboons, and many more. Thrill!!!

This was one of our best weekends, and if you are planning for that, schedule it in Monsoons. The lovely rains will transform this place into heaven and add charm to the place. You will love it for all the right reasons.

Stay connected with us, to explore unexplored, Because you never know!!!!
